Daniel Azéma has been Director of Cabinet of the Secretary-General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) since September 2010. His extensive career in civil aviation spans more than 30 years with special emphasis on air navigation systems. Prior to joining ICAO, he was the Regional Director for Civil Aviation in Rhône-Alpes/Auvergne Regions, France. Previously, he was in charge of all CNS/ATM systems for the French Air Navigation Service Provider. Throughout his career, Azéma has maintained a teaching position at the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) in Toulouse and has represented France at numerous working groups of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL). Mr. Azéma holds an Engineering Degree from the École Polytechnique (Paris) and an Engineering Degree in civil aviation from the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC).
