In his current position, Duncan guides ADB’s transport operations in China and Mongolia, and leads the Sustainable Transport Initiative which has been realigning ADB’s role in the sector to focus on sustainable transport. In 2012 he coordinated the efforts of eight multilateral development banks in making a $175 billion voluntary commitment on sustainable transport at the Rio+20 United Nations Summit. After joining ADB in 1999, he formulated transport lending and technical assistance operations in Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka.
