International Transport Forum - 2014 annual summit Transport for a Changing World | 21-23 may 2014 - Leipsig, Germany | France presidency

The FIA’s guiding principle is to ensure safe, affordable and clean transport for all. Central to this is maintaining the benefits of personal mobility. This requires the concerted action of all stakeholders, including governments, industry, non-governmental organisations and individuals.

At the heart of the FIA's mobility principles is the desire to promote freedom of mobility and to protect the interests of consumers when travelling, taking into account environmental impact, safety concerns and related social and economic factors.

Currently the FIA and its member organisations are campaigning globally on the importance of including road safety within the UN’s Post-2015 development agenda: at the ITF 2014 Summit the FIA will support the MyWorld2015 initiative, the global survey led by the United Nations and partners to share people's views with global leaders, calling for “better transport and roads” as one of the priority for the future we want.
