Lui Tuck Yew was appointed Minister for Transport of Singapore in May 2011. He was Second Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2011 until 2012 and Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts from 2010 to 2011. Lui was elected as Member of Parliament for Moulmein-Kallang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) following the General Elections of May 2011, having been appointed as Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts in April 2009. Prior to this he was Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts in April 2008. His other roles include being an elected Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of the Housing and Development Board, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and Deputy Secretary (Land), Ministry of Transport.
