Olof Persson has been President of AB Volvo and Chief Executive Officer of the Volvo Group since 2011. He was President of Volvo Construction Equipment (2008-2011) and President of Volvo Aero (2006-2008), having joined the company in 2006. Persson is also Board Chairman of the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and a Member of the European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. Persson began his career at ABB and has held a number of executive positions at AdTranz and Bombardier.
