Gordana Petkovic's work at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) concentrates on issues concerning climate adaptation, natural hazards and road management. Prior to this she was manager of NPRA’s Research and Development Programme "Climate and Transport". Petkovic has worked with the NPRA since 1995, in roles including road technology research, recycled materials and environmental issues, and - in recent years – adaptation of roads to climate change. She was a member of the Norwegian national vulnerability assessment for climate change (2010), and a member of the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR) task group for adaptation to climate change (2012). Prior to joining NPRA, she worked at the IGH Institute in Zagreb (Croatia), a civil engineering company, and SINTEF in Trondheim (Norway) in the field of structural mechanics and concrete technology.
