International Transport Forum - 2014 annual summit Transport for a Changing World | 21-23 may 2014 - Leipsig, Germany | France presidency

As a sponsor of the International Transport Forum (ITF), Toll Collect would like to invite you to participate at the Annual Summit on 21-23 May 2014 in Leipzig.

Since 1st January 2005, Toll Collect has been reliably operating the world's first satellite-based truck toll system. Thousands of trucks from all over Europe pass through Germany - especially on the motorways. The charges for the use of German toll routes are accurately charged by Toll Collect to the transport companies, and the funds collected are immediately transferred to the German Treasury - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Toll Collect also makes the required technical equipment available to the German Agency for Goods Transport (BAG) to enable the Agency to carry out its toll enforcement mandate. From the inauguration of the toll, Toll Collect has been a reliable partner of the German Federal Government, with a proven track record in handling the toll. The focus here is not simply on implementing the statutory and contractual mandates of the German Government. Customers' concerns and operational procedures are also taken into account in designing the processes, such as the various ways of paying and paper-free data transfer.

Each day, some 520 Toll Collect employees work to ensure smooth system operation with a detection accuracy rate of 99.9%. This reliable operation has secured more than 35 billion Euros in revenues for the German federal budget since the system was launched in 2005. System operating costs are currently equivalent to around 10 % of revenues. About 158.000 transport and logistics companies from 41 countries and nearly 1 million vehicles are registered with Toll Collect.

Toll Collect GmbH shareholders include Daimler Financial Services AG (45%), Deutsche Telekom AG (45%) and Cofiroute (10%). The client is the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, represented by the Federal Office for Goods Transport.

During the ITF 2014 Summit you are invited to join a 30-minute live demonstration tour near the congress centre. This is a good opportunity to see how satellite-based road charging technology works. Please register directly at the Toll Collect booth (Congress Center Leipzig, Level +1).
